What is hypnotherapy, and how does it work?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help you access your subconscious mind. This is where deep-seated thoughts, emotions, and behaviors live. By working with your subconscious, we can address and shift patterns that might be holding you back, leading to positive changes in your life.

Will I lose control during a hypnotherapy session?

Not at all! You’re always in control during a hypnotherapy session. Think of it like being in a deep state of relaxation, similar to daydreaming. You’re aware of everything happening and can come out of the trance state at any time if you choose. My role is to guide you, but you’re the one in charge.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, habits like smoking or overeating, and even pain management. It’s also great for boosting confidence, improving sleep, and enhancing overall well-being. If you have a specific goal in mind, we can tailor our sessions to support that.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and how deeply rooted the issue is. Some people see significant changes in just one or two sessions, while others may benefit from a series of sessions. We’ll discuss your goals during our first meeting and create a plan that works best for you.

What’s the difference between hypnotherapy and meditation?

Great question! While both hypnotherapy and meditation involve relaxation and focus, they’re different in purpose and approach. Meditation is usually about quieting the mind and finding inner peace, while hypnotherapy is more goal-oriented, targeting specific issues by accessing the subconscious mind. Think of meditation as a way to maintain balance and hypnotherapy as a tool for deep, targeted change.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Most people can be hypnotized to some degree, as long as they’re open to the process. It’s all about being willing to relax and follow the guidance I provide. If you’re open to it, hypnotherapy can be very effective.

What does a typical session look like?

A typical session starts with us chatting about what you’d like to work on. Then, you’ll get comfortable as I guide you into a relaxed state. From there, we’ll begin the hypnotherapy process, focusing on the specific issues you want to address. After the session, we’ll talk about your experience and any insights you gained.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes, hypnotherapy is safe when conducted by a trained professional. It’s a natural process that taps into your mind’s potential for healing and growth. There are no side effects, and you’ll be fully aware of everything happening during the session.

How do I prepare for a hypnotherapy session?

There’s no special preparation needed—just come with an open mind and a willingness to explore. Wear something comfortable, and if you have any specific goals or concerns, feel free to share them with me before we start.

How can I book a session?

Booking a session is easy! You can book online through my website, give me a call, or send me an email. I’m here to answer any questions and help you get started on your healing journey.
